As long as I can remember, flying has been my passion. I can remember when my mother took me, my brother and two sisters to old Deer Park Airport. I was only five years old at the time and my mother asked me, “Paul, do you want to learn how to fly”? I think we all know the answer to that question. Not realizing that ten years later I would take my first lesson, and seven years after that, work for Mid Island Air Service, the same people who owned and operated Deer Park Airport. Pretty neat! Since 1987 I have been working with Mid Island Air Service full and part time, and have enjoyed the customers and staff that make Mid Island a pleasure to work for. I have taught for both Dowling College and Boces, and have logged over 16,000 hours total time, with part 91 and 135 experience in jet and turboprop aircraft. I work for Flight Safety Int’l full time and have instructd more than 12,000 hours in the Falcon 50, Falcon 50EX, and Falcon 900EX EASy, full motion, level “D” simulators. I also work as an examiner for the CAA and FAA in issuing ATP and type ratings, and as a CAA inspector(by proxy), in revalidating all the European examiners within Flight Safety. I have been with Flight Safety Int’l for almost thirteen years, and within that time frame, have seen how far general and corporate aviation has come. With GPS technology combined with a “Glass Cockpit” it makes flying safer than ever and learning to fly much more fun. I am currently finishing my degree in Business Administration at SUNY Farmingdale.
My ratings are Airplane single and multiengine land, Airplane single engine sea, CFII, MEI, ATP. Type ratings are; DA-50, DA-EASy.
