Introductory Flights and Gift Ideas

$125 Introductory Flight – If you would like a taste of what it’s like to fly an airplane, this 40* minute flight is for you. Our FAA Certified Flight Instructor will guide you through some basic maneuvers in one of our Cessna 172R Skyhawks.  This one-on-one flight lesson will allow you to experience flight, hands on, from the pilot’s seat.  After the flight, our flight training specialist will demonstrate our Cessna computer based training program.  On the day of the flight, your will be presented with a First Flight Certificate and log book.   You will receive a commemorative photo by e-mail.

$175 Flight for Breast Cancer – If you would like to have a first flight experience AND make a contribution to the fight against Breast Cancer on Long Island, this special, caring experience is for you. You will experience our 40* minute Introductory Flight and also receive a special commemorative T-Shirt. $50 from each flight will be contributed to LI2Day, the only Breast Cancer organization where 100% of the donations stay on Long Island and are used to help those affected with this dreadful disease. A Special First Flight Certificate will be issued at the completion of the flight. You will receive a commemorative photo by e-mail.

$200 Adventure Flight – This 75* minute flight is an adventure you will remember long after you land! How many people can say they’ve piloted an airplane?  You will soon be able to say “I have”! As with our Introductory Flight, you will have the opportunity to actually fly the aircraft.  Under the guidance of one of our FAA Certified Flight Instructors, you will start the flight lesson the way all pilots do before they fly - with a pre-flight inspection of the aircraft. This package includes a gift certificate for the flight and a DVD entitled, “Your First Few Hours”. (Something to wrap up if this is a gift). The DVD will give you a taste of the adventure you can expect when you start flight training.  During your lesson, you will fly over the east end of Long Island with views of the Hamptons and Long Island’s beautiful shoreline.   After the flight, our flight training specialist will demonstrate our flight training program.  On the day of your lesson, you will be presented with a First Flight Certificate and  log book.   You will receive a commemorative photo by e-mail.

$350 Manhattan Sky-Venture Flight – The memory of this flight lesson will last a lifetime! Seeing NYC up close, flying to Atlantic City or Martha's Vineyard are a few of the exciting adventures you will have when you become a Private Pilot. Now you can experience the thrill of flight training and get a first hand introduction to places you can fly to with a Private Pilot Certificate. This is the ultimate gift for yourself or for someone you know who has dreamed of learning to fly. After your lesson, our flight training specialist will demonstrate our training program. On the day of your lesson, you will be presented with a First Flight Certificate and log book. You will receive a commemorative photo by e-mail.

$450 First Few Hours** - If your gift recipient has always talked about learning to fly, this package will get them started on their Private Pilot Certification Program.  The First Few Hours is actually a three lesson package, including two flight lessons and a one hour ground session.  Along with the gift certificates, a DVD entitled, “Your First Few Hours” is included.  After the flight, our flight training specialist will demonstrate our Cessna computer based training program.  On the day of the flight, your will be presented with a First Flight Certificate, log book and a school enrollment discount certificate (worth $50).   You will receive a commemorative photo by e-mail.

$999 Cleared For Takeoff** - This package is designed for the person who wishes to purchase a more substantial gift.  It includes a Cessna Private Kit and Enrollment into our school (a $329 value) as well as three flight lessons in a Cessna 172R and associated pre and post ground lessons.  An interactive CD library is included which is ready to be popped into the computer.  The first six CD’s are activated; the kit must be registered with Mid Island prior to proceeding to the 7th CD.  The orange registration card must be presented to register.  This is a great package for someone highly motivated to begin their flight training.

All flights included in the above packages are training flights and DO NOT permit passengers.  All packages are refundable if all materials are returned in their original, unopened condition. 
Gift Certificates are refundable within 60 days of purchase. 
The original gift certificate MUST be presented prior to the flight (no exceptions).
