Meet Our Instructors
Sal Randazzo
CFI
Sal was born and raised just minutes away from JFK Airport, so an interest in aviation was inevitable as jumbo jets flew overhead every day.
Sal began his flight training with Mid Island while attending Dowling College in the Fall of 1999. Sal earned his Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Pilot’s License with Mid Island and graduated with a BS: Aeronautics from Dowling College in May of 2003. Sal began working as a lineperson for Mid Island Brookhaven in the Summer of 2001 and as a CFI in August of 2004, after completing his CFI training in Tucson, AZ. When Sal does not have the pleasure of Flight Instructing, he works full time in the greatest city in the world, Manhattan.
When Sal is not working or flying, he enjoys playing his guitars, road tripping, and attending Yankee Games.
