PRIVATE PILOT WRITTEN A FUN AND FACT FILLED CLASS DESIGNED AS A REVIEW FOR YOUR PRIVATE PILOT KNOWLEDGE EXAM. The three-day weekend PRIVATE PILOT WRITTEN REVIEW is intended to help soon-to-be-pilots prepare for their written exam. This is not a cram-course to pass the test, but a way to review in order to be better prepared and become a safer pilot. Our small classes will offer more of a one-on-one atmosphere and a chance to concentrate on the areas that are most confusing or difficult. This class is a REVIEW only, students must be at the Cross-country stage of their training or authorized by their instructor to attend based on past |
experience or knowledge. You will also need a Gleim Private Pilot FAA Written Exam book for class participation. The fee for the three day class is $275 or just $225 for those enrolled in Mid Island’s Cessna Private Pilot training program, plus an optional $25 for lunch for the 3 days. Money must be paid 7 days prior and there will be a $50 cancellation fee if less than 48 hours notice is given. At the completion of the course you will be given a $20 coupon towards the cost of your Private Pilot computerized test. Tests are administered on the premises in our LaserGrade room and can be scheduled through the Flight Desk. Mid Island’s first priority has always been to keep you and your loved ones safe. Over the years we have instituted some special programs: In 1996, Lou Mancuso wrote the “Personal Limitations Checklist” in order to promote additional safety throughout General Aviation. In 2001 Mid Island introduced an Annual Flight Review as Company policy for all renter pilots. In 2002 we setup the President’s Special BFR, a five hour safety training session to give you added time in the plane with an instructor to perfect your flying skills. In 2003 we started our popular free monthly Aviation Seminars. And now in 2004 we have begun the Weekend Private Pilot Written Review class We had an excellent turnout for our June class, and are getting ready for a second class this month [July]. If we have enough interest for an Instrument Review Class we will offer this as well sometime this fall. Please call the ISP Desk if you are interested in either the Private or Instrument course.
