Flight Gift Certificates

$99.00 Introductory Flight – Your first flight experience will be a 45 minute flight lesson. Our FAA Certified Flight Instructor will guide you through basic maneuvers in our new Cessna 172.  This one-on-one flight lesson will allow you to experience flight from the pilot’s seat.  You will take home a signed First Flight Certificate ready for framing.

$150 Flight for Breast Cancer - If you would like to have a first flight experience AND make a contribution to the fight against Breast Cancer on Long Island, this special, caring experience is for you. You will experience our 45 minute Introductory Flight and also receive a special commemorative T-Shirt. $50 from each flight will be contributed to LI2Day, the only Breast Cancer organization where 100% of the donations stay on Long Island and are used to help those affected with this dreadful disease. A Special First Flight Certificate will also be issued at the completion of the flight.

$175.00 Adventure Flight – This 70 minute flight is an adventure flight lesson you will remember long after you land. As with our Introductory Flight, you will have the opportunity to fly the aircraft, and in addition, you will start the lesson with a brief ground lesson.  The ground session will include an introduction to GPS (Global Positioning Satellite system) and flight navigation.  The Adventure Flight Package includes a gift certificate for the flight and a two video gift set (or DVD entitled, “Your First Few Hours”.  (Something to wrap up if this is a gift). The flight will be over the east end of Long Island with a view of the Hamptons and Shelter Island, or if traffic permits, a view of Manhattan.    After the flight, our flight training specialist will demonstrate our computer training program.

$399.00 First Few Hours** -  If your gift recipient has always talked about learning to fly, this package will get them started on their Private Pilot Certification Program.  The First Few Hours is actually a three lesson package, including two flight lessons and a one hour ground session.  Along with the gift certificate, a two video (or DVD) gift set entitled, “Your First Few Hours” is included.  To receive the most benefit from these first lessons, we recommend that the videos are watched prior to the flights. 

$999.00 Cleared For Takeoff**-  This package designed for the person who wishes to purchase a more substantial gift.  It includes a Cessna Private Kit and Enrollment into our school (a $529 value) as well as three, hour and a half  Cessna 172R flights and associated ground school.  A CD Rom library is included which is ready to be popped into the computer.  The first six CD’s are activated; the kit must be registered with Mid Island prior to proceeding to the 7th CD.  The orange registration card must be presented to register.  This is a great package for someone highly motivated to begin their flight training. (computers are available for use at our school).

All flights included in the above packages are training flights and do not allow passengers.  All packages are refundable if all materials are returned in their original, unopened condition.  Gift Certificates are valid for one year from the date of purchase and must be presented on the day of flight.  Gift Certificates are refundable within 60 days of purchase.  (Receipts can not be honored).
