Optional Training Courses
Over the years we have developed some special training courses covering topics of interest to our renter pilots.
They are geared to further your flight experience in a variety of ways. If there are any topics you would like to explore, please let us know. Once we flew with a new owner to the Bahamas for a week… so any flight experience is a possibility.
Following is a list of the special flight training courses which Mid Island Flight School may offer based on demand:
Class B Flight:
Do you avoid flying west so you can avoid Class B airspace.? Why not learn how best to use the ATC system to your full advantage
G1000 Redbird Training:
The G1000 is an integrated avionics system, an all-glass flight deck that represents flight instrumentation, location, navigation, communication, and identification data on large format, high resolution displays.
Ground Schools:
Many of our students are enrolled in our Jeppesen training programs. These ‘work at your own pace’ programs allow you to prepare for your flight lessons when the time is favorable for you.
IPC Course:
Class includes eight hours ground instruction, simulator and flight addressing pilot deviations, accidenet causal factors, flight planning and more….
Malibu Training:
We offer Initial and Recurrent Training in your Malibu. Our course is approved by many insurance companies.
Right Seat Companion:
Wouldn’t it be more fun if your spouse or friends would fly with you? Would you like to make them appreciate and enjoy flying as much as you? (Well, maybe not AS MUCH, but certainly more than they do now!) Sign them up for our right Seat Companion Course and they will learn to spot aircraft, use the radios and read maps in no time at all.
